We sponsor meetings and events for the public and League members. The calendar listings include events for LWV Orange Coast and LWV Capo.

Speakers: Mary Leigh, Board Member and Charlie Blek, President of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence

NOTE CHANGE OF MENU

Menu: Choose from:
1. Quiche & Salad Combo: baked spinach quiche with melted Cheddar & Jack cheeses, topped with Applewood smoked bacon and a tomato slice, served with a field greens salad with Balsamic vinegar dressing;
2. Fettuccine Alfredo & Caesar Salad: a portion of Fettuccine Alfredo, served with a Caesar salad (no meat);
3. Meatball Sliders: Two sliders with home-style meatloaf, caramelized onions, and melted Cheddar cheese on mini-buns, served with almond coleslaw; and
4. Gourmet Grilled Cheese and Bacon Sandwich: Grilled parmesan sourdough, Cheddar & Swiss cheeses, and Applewood smoked bacon sandwich, served with almond coleslaw. All entrees are served with beverages and cornbread.

Cost: $15 for lunch and speaker, $5 speaker only.

Guest Presenters: Martha Cox, Mary Thompson, Hank Williams Members, League of Women Voters and Kettering Foundation Affiliated Facilitators Tired of the constant political bickering? Make a commitment to be part of the solution! You are invited to join us for an enlightening morning of training in conducting civil, community-building conversations. Presenters will explain how to support public civic discourse to foster community problem solving. Following the overview, participants will have an opportunity to learn and experience the techniques used in facilitating a "deliberative dialogue" on an important community issue. This presentation is open to League members and those who are interested in the work of League. Reservations required.
